At the first Smart Cincy Summit more than 300 leaders gathered to explore what it would take to build a smart region in Greater Cincinnati. Since then working groups have been formed, pilot projects have been launched, and leaders from around the world have noticed that Smart Cincy collaborators in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana are building a model for smart region growth.

At the Second Annual Smart Cincy Summit we will shine a light on the efforts from the last year, explore opportunities to use smart solutions to address our most pressing regional needs, and hear from leaders that are moving the smart cities conversation forward with morning speakers and panels followed by an awards luncheon recognizing exceptional efforts.

The Second Annual Smart Cincy Summit will explore the future of our city and region, and the impact that new technologies, policies, and strategies will have for people regardless of socioeconomic or physical barriers. As we deploy the foundational layer of connectivity for people, places, things, and information, we can begin to build a test bed to enable the internet of transportation, ushering in a new age of accessible and equitable mobility catalyzed by intelligent technologies and smart infrastructure planning. These efforts will bolster social mobility, enhance economic development, and lead to improved experiences for residents and visitors, alike.

Leaders from Smart Cincy, The City of Cincinnati will host the summit, welcoming guests from the Governor’s Office, The United States Senate, The United States Congress, and many federal, state, and local agencies that will be on site to participate and contribute to the happenings.

Speakers, panelists, and roundtable discussions will explore recent success stories such as the downtown fiber ring in the City of Cincinnati, challenges such as defeating the digital divide or optimizing crumbling infrastructure, and opportunities to collaborate via public-private-partnerships to continue moving these conversations forward. During the leadership luncheon awards will be presented to local and regional leaders, and a light will shine on the amazing progress that has been made stemming out of City Hall. Additionally, national announcements concerning the programming, funding, and financing behind the Smart Infrastructure Challenge will be released.

The summit will take place on Thursday, April 26th, 2018 beginning at 9:00am. Those that are able to join will also be invited to the community day and media dinner on April 25th. More details soon! Questions? Email
