Smart Cities are Safe Cities

This weekend's mass shooting is an upsetting example of why public safety is highlighted within the four pillars of smart cities. Technologies are available to prevent senseless acts such as those that happened in Cincinnati this weekend, and we want to help usher in those solutions in short time in our smart cities, connected campuses, and advanced facilities throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Our organization has released a statement on the shooting from this weekend and will be speaking with elected and public officials about participating in the April Smart Cities Are Safe Cities event alongside business and academic leaders. Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, The City of Cincinnati Police Department, and other regional law enforcement entities will be invited.
