The City of Cincinnati is excited to announce the launch of ‘OpenCincy,’ a new user-friendly online tool developed to guide small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs through the process for opening or expanding operations in Cincinnati.
Dr. Jiaqi Ma (University of Cincinnati), Mark Policinski (Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments), Jim Barna (DriveOhio), and Zack Huhn (Venture Smarter, Regional Smart Cities Initiative) joined WVXU in there latest “Cincinnati Edition” to discuss why Ohio could be a leader in autonomous vehicle technology and how advances in smart mobility could affect our daily lives.
Ahead of the Second Annual Smart Cincy Summit, government, academic, business, and community leaders will meet to discuss moving forward together to build a smarter Greater Cincinnati Region with a focus on equity and problem solving. ‘Smart Cincy Community Day’ will happen on Wednesday, April 25th beginning at 530pm at the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments board room.
The City of Cincinnati took another step this week on its path to becoming a Smart City. On Thursday, January 11th it released the RFP to four qualified respondents following the Spring 'Smart Cincy RFI' release. The project is titled " DEPLOYMENT OF Wi-Fi AND/OR WIRELINE BROADBAND SYSTEMS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF CINCINNATI: SMART CITIES INITIATIVE PHASE 1.
