Cincinnati City Manager Harry Black, Chief Performance Officer Leigh Tami, and other leaders from Cincinnati City Hall will join Venture Smarter Founder Zack Huhn for Smart Cities Day at Union Hall on Thursday, October 12th. "Welcome to Smart Cincy" remarks and presentations will begin at 9am, followed by startup and innovation panels at 10am and 11am focused on building a smarter Greater Cincinnati.
After all, October is Smart Cities Month in Greater Cincinnati, and on Thursday, October 12th, we will declare it Smart Cities Day once again at Union Hall in Over the Rhine. Cincinnati is no stranger to smart cities or innovations in government. Smart Cincy and Venture Smarter are proud to host Smart Cities Day at Cincinnati Startup Week, a week long event presented by Techstars and Startup Cincy, sponsored by Cincy Tech.

Welcome to Smart City! Take a look at smart city efforts, innovations, and leaders beginning at 9am as Venture Smarter founder Zack Huhn will introduce Cincinnati City Manager Harry Black for Welcome to Smart Cincy Remarks before passing the 9am session over to Leigh Tami and James Flick to present efforts stemming out of Cincinnati City Hall. The audience will be invited to Q&A with participants to round out the presentations.

Several Cincinnati-based startups are leading efforts around smart city infrastructure and related projects in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and beyond. Smart Cities require collaboration, innovation, and dedication. These startup leaders are breaking down barriers to build future cities, now. The panel will begin following brief introductions to each panelist who will be allowed time to introduce themselves and their company.

Every paradigm shift in transpiration doubles the quality of life for humans. In recent months the conversations around autonomous transportation have gained more traction, and have even seen federal legislation start moving. Several startups and innovators from Cincinnati, OH are leading research, development, and implementation efforts around solutions that will enable us to create and implement smart and connected mobility solutions. Automating transportation will usher in the new paradigm shift and allow us to build the physical internet. The panel will begin following brief introductions to each panelist who will be allowed up to three minutes to introduce themselves and their company.
